Break-up table

The "heart" of RIOPEL cutting floor technology since its first installations by the company founder Maurice Riopel during the late seventies. The RIOPEL main breakup table has evolved to incorporate the principal technologies which have established RIOPEL as a worldwide technological leader for pork packers  :

  • Circular slicers and saws replace band saws to reduce bone dust, contamination and improve primal consistency and yield.

  • A self cleaning heavy duty stainless slat conveyor mounted on stainless steel conveyor chains, sprockets and shafts.

  • Combined manual and automatic positioning systems with ancillary traction chain conveyors, guide bars, conveying carousel wheels and lasers. Worker task in non-skilled-positioning only.

  • A conveying systems driven by hydraulics for reduced maintenance.

  • Pneumatic tensioning for guides.

The combined technology results in an improved overall product quality with maximum production efficiency. The task of the worker is reduced to a positioning operation requiring minimal training and virtually eliminating accident while maintaining ergonomic benefit. The rugged design provides a durable, reliable package with minimum maintenance.

Description :

Break-up table :

  • Operating Range : 200 to 1200 carcasses/hr

  • Stainless steel tubular frame (1/8")

  • (10 ga) S.S. profiled slat conveyor

  • Hydraulic drive system

  • 94) integrated s.s. traction chain conveyor systems

  • (3) S.S. working platforms with F.R.P. grating

Hind Foot Circular Saw :

  • 16" dia. The blade is located after the carcass drop and is hydraulically adjusted for an hind foot proper length cut.

Ham circular Slicer :

  • 36" dia. The blade is located directly after Hind Foot Saw, it also has an ancillary traction chain and a laser light alignment.

Shoulder Circular Slicer :

  • 42" dia. This blade follows the Ham Slicer on the opposite side of the table, it is equipped with an ancillary support (plastic belt conveyor) and a laser light alignment.

Loin/Belly Slicer :

  • 42" dia. Blade with adjustable angle for improved belly yield including pneumatic positioning system and ancillary s.s. traction chains.
